Kirsten Billhardt leads field marketing for the Edge and Internet of Things organization at Dell Technologies. Her team is responsible for storytelling, partner marketing, and demand generation for Edge/IoT solutions globally. Kirsten has been part of Dell’s IoT business since before there was a formal IoT business. Over the past five years, Kirsten has been listening, learning, writing and speaking about the evolution of Edge and IoT with our customers, partners and with Dell Technologies itself. Kirsten has engineering degrees from Kettering University and Purdue University, and an MBA from Harvard. She resides in Austin, TX with her husband and three children.
Kirsten will use this session to share an overview of the Internet of Things landscape, and share ideas on how entrepreneurs can leverage this set of technologies to drive innovation and business growth. She’ll walk through some hard-won lessons on the reality of standing up new technologies with a clear eye on driving ROI that matters for your organization. Kirsten will take a case study-centric approach, with a focus on how small and medium-sized businesses, in particular, have leveraged emerging technologies.
